Throttle valve manufacturers
Throttle valves are used to regulate flow rate by adjusting the restriction in a pipeline. They operate by partially opening or closing the flow passage to achieve the desired flow or pressure drop. Throttle valves are not typically intended for tight shutoff; their primary function is modulation. Common designs used for throttling include globe valves, needle valves, eccentric plug valves, and rotary control valves.
Selection depends on the required control range, medium characteristics, pressure drop, and operating conditions. Throttling performance is influenced by trim geometry, cavitation potential, erosion resistance, and valve position stability. Throttle valves are used in process control loops, cooling and bypass lines, test stands, and applications where flow needs to be continuously adjusted rather than simply opened or closed.
