Self acting valve manufacturers
Self-acting valves operate using the energy of the process fluid itself, without external electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuation. The valve senses changes in pressure, temperature, or flow and adjusts its position automatically using internal elements such as springs, diaphragms, or bellows. The process pressure provides the force required to move the valve, while the spring or sensing element sets the control point.
These valves are commonly used for pressure regulation, backpressure control, and temperature control, where stable operating conditions are needed but remote or automated control is not required. Adjustment is typically made by changing spring preload or setting parameters on the sensing element. Because no external control system is required, self-acting valves offer simple installation, high reliability, and low maintenance.
Self acting valves are applied in steam and condensate systems, district heating networks, compressed air and gas services, and process pipelines where direct, local control is sufficient. Proper selection considers control accuracy, allowable pressure differential, media compatibility, response speed, and the required temperature or pressure set range.
