Relief valve manufacturers
Relief valves protect systems from overpressure by opening when the internal pressure exceeds a defined limit and closing again once pressure returns to the normal operating range. They provide controlled pressure release to prevent equipment damage, pipe rupture, seal failure, or process instability. Relief valves can vent directly to atmosphere or discharge into a controlled return line depending on the system design.
These valves are available in direct-acting and pilot-operated configurations to suit different flow capacities, response characteristics, and pressure ranges. Materials and sealing elements are chosen based on the process media, temperature conditions, and corrosion resistance requirements. Relief valves are used with compressed air, inert gases, water, heat transfer fluids, and various process liquids in industrial service.
Typical applications include compressor discharge protection, pump bypass circuits, storage tanks, filtration and circulation loops, and general process piping systems where safe and reliable pressure limitation is required. Proper selection considers set pressure, allowable accumulation, required relief capacity, media compatibility, and whether the discharge needs noise reduction or containment.
