Pressure reducing valve manufacturers
Pressure reducing valves maintain a stable downstream pressure by automatically adjusting the flow through the valve. They reduce higher inlet pressure to a controlled outlet pressure, independent of variations in demand or upstream supply conditions. The valve responds to pressure feedback through a spring, diaphragm, or pilot control system to hold the outlet pressure at the set value.
They are available in direct-acting and pilot-operated designs. Direct-acting valves are simpler and suited for smaller flow rates or lower pressure drops. Pilot-operated valves provide more stable control and are used in larger systems or where outlet pressure must remain precise over a wide operating range. Materials, trim, and seal options are selected according to media temperature and chemical compatibility.
Pressure reducing valves are used in steam distribution networks, water systems, compressed air lines, inert gas systems, and general industrial piping where downstream equipment must be protected from overpressure. Proper selection considers required outlet pressure range, flow capacity, pressure drop, response characteristics, and any need for condensate drainage or filtering upstream of the valve.
