Pinch valve manufacturers
Pinch valves use a flexible elastomer sleeve as the flow control element. When the valve is actuated, external mechanical force compresses or “pinches” the sleeve to restrict or stop the flow. With no internal metal parts in contact with the process media, the valve provides a clear, unobstructed flow path and eliminates crevices where solids could accumulate. This makes pinch valves suitable for handling slurries and fluids containing suspended particles.
The sleeve material is selected based on chemical compatibility, temperature, and abrasion resistance. Actuation may be manual or automated using pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic mechanisms. Because the sleeve is the primary wear component, maintenance is typically limited to periodic sleeve replacement without removing the valve body from the pipeline.
Pinch valves are commonly used in mining and mineral processing, wastewater treatment, pulp and paper stock handling, chemical slurry transport, and powdered or granular media systems. Proper selection considers solids concentration, particle size, required cycle rate, sleeve material durability, and the desired shut-off or throttling performance.
