Needle valve manufacturers
Needle valves are used for precise regulation of flow in small-diameter piping and instrumentation systems. The tapered needle-shaped stem allows fine adjustment of the flow passage, providing stable and repeatable control of liquid or gas at low to moderate flow rates. Because of their geometry, needle valves are typically used in applications requiring controlled metering rather than full open/close operation.
They are commonly constructed from brass, stainless steel, or alloy materials, with soft-seat or metal-seat options depending on media temperature and chemical compatibility. Connections are usually threaded or compression tube fittings to integrate easily into instrumentation panels or sampling lines. Manual handwheel operation is standard, though motorized versions are available when remote or automated control is required.
Needle valves are used in laboratory systems, chemical dosing lines, analyzer sample conditioning, pressure gauge isolation, hydraulic pilot lines, and general instrumentation circuits. Proper selection considers required flow turn-down ratio, allowable leakage, media cleanliness, temperature and pressure limits, and desired sensitivity of adjustment.
