Limit switche manufacturers
Limit switches provide a local or remote signal indicating the open or closed position of a valve. They are mounted on the valve or actuator and use mechanical or proximity-based sensing to detect when the valve has reached its end position. The signal can be used for control system feedback, interlocks, safety logic, or operator status indication.
Limit switch assemblies may include mechanical switches, inductive sensors, or magnetic reed sensors, often housed in a compact enclosure suitable for industrial environments. Many units incorporate adjustable cams, visual position indicators, terminal blocks, and standardized mounting interfaces for quarter-turn or linear actuators. Enclosures are selected according to environmental and electrical requirements, including weatherproof, explosion-proof, and corrosion-resistant types.
Limit switches are commonly used in automated process systems, water and wastewater facilities, power plants, chemical processing, and general industrial valve networks where accurate position feedback is required for safe and reliable operation. Selection considers enclosure rating, electrical compatibility, required switch type or sensor output, mounting dimensions, and the level of mechanical adjustment needed.
