Globe valve manufacturers
Globe valves regulate flow by moving a plug or disc toward or away from a stationary seat, allowing the flow cross-section to be adjusted precisely. The flow path changes direction through the valve body, which creates a higher pressure drop than in quarter-turn valves but provides good controllability and repeatable positioning. Because of their linear actuation characteristics, globe valves are well suited for both on/off and modulating service.
They are available with different trim geometries, such as equal percentage, linear, and quick opening characteristics, to match the control requirements of the process. Seat and stem configurations vary according to temperature and pressure class, and materials are selected for the compatibility of the handled media. Globe valves can be operated manually or equipped with pneumatic or electric actuators, often with a positioner for automated control.
Globe valves are widely used in steam systems, power generation, district heating networks, chemical processing lines, and process control loops where stable and accurate flow regulation is required. Proper sizing considers differential pressure, valve authority in the control loop, noise or cavitation risk, and the actuator force needed to close the valve under maximum operating conditions.
