Float valve manufacturers
Float valves use a buoyant float mechanism to automatically open or close a valve based on liquid level. As the liquid level rises, the float moves to reduce or stop inflow; as the level falls, the float lowers and allows flow to resume. This provides simple, reliable level control without external power or control systems.
Float valves are commonly used in storage tanks, cooling towers, process water systems, and supply reservoirs to maintain a constant liquid level. Internal and external float arrangements are available depending on installation space and access. Materials and seal types are selected based on fluid properties, temperature, and potential fouling or contamination.
These valves are suited for clean water and non-viscous fluids. In applications involving solids, scaling, or high cycle demand, periodic inspection and cleaning are required to ensure proper float movement and sealing performance. Proper sizing considers inflow rate, level setpoint range, and tank geometry.
