Electric actuator manufacturers
Electric actuators use an electric motor to provide the torque or linear force needed to operate a valve. The motor drives a gear or screw mechanism that opens or closes the valve according to a control signal. Electric actuators are often used where compressed air is not available, where precise positioning is required, or where low-maintenance automation is preferred.
They are available in quarter-turn and linear configurations to suit ball, butterfly, plug, and globe valves. Control options range from simple open/close operation to fully modulating control with position feedback, integrated control modules, and communication via analog or digital fieldbus protocols. Housing, motor type, and gearing are selected based on required torque, cycle frequency, enclosure rating, and environmental conditions.
Electric actuators are commonly applied in water treatment plants, HVAC systems, energy and power facilities, industrial automation, and chemical and process control systems. Selection considers torque requirements, travel time, duty cycle, fail-safe behavior, ambient temperature limits, and integration with the plant’s control architecture.
