Drain valve manufacturers
Drain valves are installed at low points of piping systems, vessels, filters, and equipment to allow scheduled or emergency removal of liquid, condensate, cleaning fluids, or sediment. They are positioned to ensure complete emptying of the system and to prevent standing liquid that could cause corrosion, contamination, or freeze damage. Internal geometry is often designed to minimize dead volume and to allow reliable drainage even when solids or debris are present.
Drain valves are available in ball, needle, plug, gate, and diaphragm styles depending on required flow control and sealing performance. Manual operation is common, but pneumatic and electric actuation may be used where remote or automated draining is required. Material and seal selection depend on media characteristics, pressure rating, and whether cleanability or sanitary design is needed.
Typical application areas include boiler blowdown, heat exchanger and vessel drainage, tank cleaning and maintenance, compressed air condensate removal, and process line draining in chemical, water treatment, utility, and hygienic production environments. Proper selection considers discharge flow rate, location accessibility, and compatibility with the drained media.
