Changeover valve manufacturers
Changeover valves are used to switch flow between two parallel lines, equipment units, or supply sources without interrupting operation. The valve body contains a switching mechanism that directs flow from one outlet to the other, allowing maintenance, standby operation, or redundancy without stopping the process. Changeover valves can be designed for manual operation or automated actuation when remote or frequent switching is required.
They are commonly used in systems with duplex filters and strainers, parallel pump sets, safety relief valve pairs, tank supply lines, or sampling circuits. The purpose is to maintain continuous operation while one line is isolated for cleaning, inspection, or replacement.
Selection depends on the required flow capacity, pressure class, switching frequency, sealing requirements, and media compatibility. In critical or hazardous service, the valve is often combined with lockout or position indication to ensure that only one flow path is open at a time.
