Butterfly valve manufacturers
Butterfly valves use a rotating disc mounted on a central shaft to regulate or shut off flow. When the disc is aligned with the flow path, pressure loss is low; when it rotates to the closed position, the disc seals against a seat to stop flow. Their compact construction and short face-to-face dimensions make butterfly valves suitable for large pipe diameters where other valve types would be heavy or costly.
These valves are available in concentric, double-offset, and triple-offset designs to suit different sealing requirements, temperatures, and pressure levels. Elastomer-seated butterfly valves are commonly used for low-pressure water, HVAC, and general utility service, while high-performance and triple-offset metal-seated versions are applied in steam, energy production, chemical processes, and industrial gas service.
Butterfly valves can be manually operated or automated with electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuators, making them suitable for on/off and modulating control. Selection is based on media compatibility, sealing class, temperature and pressure ratings, and operating frequency.
