Breather valve manufacturers
Breather valves regulate the pressure inside storage tanks and vessels by allowing controlled venting and air intake when the internal pressure reaches defined positive or negative setpoints. They prevent vacuum collapse when the tank is being emptied and limit overpressure when filling or during thermal expansion, helping to reduce product loss and protect the tank structure.
These valves are typically installed on fixed-roof storage tanks containing liquids that may generate or absorb vapors, such as fuels, solvents, process chemicals, edible oils, and industrial intermediates. Breather valves can be configured with pressure relief, vacuum relief, or combined pressure/vacuum functionality, with optional flame arresters when handling flammable media.
By maintaining stable internal pressure, breather valves help improve safety, reduce emissions, and support regulatory compliance. Proper sizing considers tank volume, filling/emptying rates, vapor characteristics, and environmental conditions to ensure reliable operation under varying process conditions.
