Booster manufacturers
Boosters are used to increase the pressure of a gas or air supply when the available line pressure is not sufficient for the process requirement. A booster takes inlet pressure and amplifies it through a mechanical or pneumatic intensification mechanism, raising the outlet pressure without the need for a separate high-pressure compressor. The outlet pressure is typically adjustable so the system can be tuned to the required operating level.
Boosters are commonly used to supply higher actuator pressure in control valves, on/off valves, and safety devices where fast response and high closing force are needed. They can also be applied in testing stations, gas distribution systems, and instrument air networks where pressure must be maintained above a controlled minimum to ensure reliable equipment function.
Depending on the application, boosters may be entirely pneumatic, electrically driven, or hybrid designs. Proper sizing considers flow demand, response time, duty cycle, and heat generation to avoid pressure instability or oscillation in the downstream system.
